Our story

About Lucy Merchant

We built Lucy Merchant so procurement teams can discover vetted suppliers, compare bulk listings with clear MOQs and pricing, and move from search to order without losing context.

What we do

Lucy Merchant is a role-based marketplace: customers browse and buy; merchants and suppliers run verified shops (multiple per account), sell products, and merchants can also purchase from other sellers; administrators review National ID and business documents before shops go live.

  • Discovery across products, companies, and categories
  • Bulk cart and checkout with quantity rules that match real listings
  • Verified supplier profiles and transparent ratings
  • Secure sign-in and workspaces tuned to each role

Shop verification (merchants & suppliers)

Every shop must be verified before products go live. You can operate multiple shops on one account.

  1. 1

    National ID (Fayda)

Verify your identity with Ethiopian National ID (FAN, front/back images, and address details). Required before shop documents are reviewed.

  2. 2

    Business licenses & documents

Upload TIN, trade license number, and license documents for each shop you register.

  3. 3

    Store verification status

Each shop moves through: none → pending → approved or rejected. Products can only be published after the shop is approved.

Who we serve

Buyers and sourcing teams use us to shorten supplier shortlists. Sellers use us to reach serious wholesale demand. We focus on clarity—pricing, minimums, and order status—so both sides spend less time on ambiguity.

Whether you are onboarding your first supplier or scaling across categories, the same principles apply: verified identity where it matters, and tools that respect how B2B actually buys.
